Introduction
ESAFX is a Limited Liability Company engaged in financial services, particularly in the field of futures trading. As a Futures Broker, EAB was established in accordance with and based on Law Number 32/1997 concerning Commodity Futures Trading and Government Regulation (PP) Number 9/1999 concerning the Implementation of Commodity Futures Trading.
Other provisions that serve as the basis for the establishment of EAB include Presidential Decree Number 12/1999 regarding Commodities that Can Be Traded as Commodity Futures, as well as various other technical regulations in the form of Decisions of the Head of the Badan Pengawas Perdagangan Berjangka Komoditi (BAPPEBTI) starting from Number 1 to 19, which regulate the technical procedures of trading and the institutions within the Commodity Futures Exchange.
PT ESANDAR ARTHAMAS BERJANGKA is domiciled and headquartered in Jakarta. Its Articles of Association are stated in Deed Number 38, dated February 16, 2004, executed before notary Marina Soewana, SH in Gunung Sahari, Central Jakarta. As a Futures Broker, the Company is registered as a member of PT Jakarta Futures Exchange (BBJ), a member of PT Kliring Berjangka Indonesia (Persero), and operates under the supervision of the Badan Pengawas Perdagangan Berjangka Komoditi (BAPPEBTI)
As we are aware, other Futures Brokers have been actively involved in financial contracts such as forex and indices through the Alternative Trading System (SPA). This is evident from the data, which shows that the contribution of commodity products is still below 1% compared to the total transactions on the Jakarta Futures Exchange (BBJ).
On the contrary, PT EAB aims to be a pioneer for the stakeholders of Futures Trading, demonstrating that commodity contracts are also viable and profitable. Moreover, Law No. 32/1997 clearly bears the 'label' of the Commodity Futures Trading Act, which carries the mandate to develop commodities produced by Indonesian farmers.
Moreover, Indonesia is recognized as a major producer of various primary commodities, including agricultural products as well as mining and mineral resources. Indonesia is known as the world's largest producer of natural rubber and crude palm oil (CPO). The same goes for other agricultural, mining, and mineral commodities such as coffee, cocoa, pepper, gold, copper, bauxite, and others. Based on these facts, it is somewhat ironic for this country that it has not yet established an influential organized commodity market (exchange) globally. The international community still considers London as the center for coffee and cocoa transactions and price references, while Kuala Lumpur is seen as the hub for rubber and palm oil.

Leadership Team
Francois Haberth Hallatu, S.H
President Director
As an alternative investment, futures trading is still relatively new compared to stocks. Therefore, the growth of public trust is a prerequisite for the development of this industry in the country.
As the President Director, the main duty is to ensure the company's operations comply with the applicable laws and regulations. Mr Francois is the right person for that role. His experience as the Director of the Compliance Division is considered sufficient preparation for his current position.
Mr Francois, who was born and raised in Ambon, has obtained a license as a Futures Broker Representative (WPB) from BAPPEBTI. He has previously graduated from the Faculty of Law, specializing in International Law at Pattimura University in Ambon, and is also registered as a lawyer. After completing his studies in 1993, he became a member of the Military Police in 1994. His military career ended in 2004 with the rank of First Officer.
